The first daily newspaper of the Muslims of Sindh "Al Waheed" was published on 15th March 1920 . It was named after caliph Sultan Waheed uddin who was the caliph of central caliphate Turkey. This newspaper was the interpreter of caliphate movement, it interpreted the sentiments of the Muslims. It was joint effort of Shaikh Abdul Aziz, Shaikh Abdul Majeed Sindhi and sir Abdullah Haroon in the publication of that newspaper. In starting period of "Al Waheed" Hakeem Shamsuddin was also the part of scriptory supporters alongside others.
