How important is the quality of journalism in Pakistani media?

In the city of Pakistan, dozens of workers are working in rowing tables in the building of multi storey.

Every one is be quick. There is no sound can be heard so much noise in the hall from the big one.

Whether it could be a fish market or a shoe factory, this is a room of a news channel of pakistan.

Anybody have no time to think, understand or read anything. The only pressure here is to submit the news before the deadline. At the end of the shift, each employee has to account for their daily performance. How much news did you 'break' today? How many packages did you file? How many beavers did you give?

That is, all the significance on numbers, not on the quality of work. The news was of the break worthy of it or did it break the support of the news? The commencing sentences of the 90second package report file were not the same ones that were repeated in different ways and turned into a package?

Without breathing or he could explain something with distinction and concision keep on speaking in a loud voice?

It's not that people who run big channels are incompetent or stupid. They know exactly how to run a business, but a news channel is stuffing a 24 hour is not an easy task.

There is fabrication, when there is no news. In such cases, setting or maintaining journalistic standards seems like an unnecessary luxury. So I have no complaints about the employees working in the newsroom, but only sympathy.

The problem is that most of the channels in Pakistan do not have an editorial policy for one the main reason. TV talk shows revolve around faces and personalities. Anchors are associations in their own right. Big anchors personal opinions, likes and dislikes are their policy, which is adjusted time and circumstances.

But they only care about the ruling circles but their programs are for the general audience: what will the army think? What will the Maulvis say? Will the interests of the owners not be harmed?

For experienced anchors it is question of survival. Our media is considered independent, but in some cases carelessness can be dangerous. If anyone had any confusion about this, it ended after the attack on journalist Hamid Mir.

It became clear to everyone that if the well-known anchor of the country's largest channel could be targeted, then no one is safe here. The style of self-censorship adopted by the media after this incident has not been seen before.

The second batch of anchors is the ones that look less like anchors and more like parsons who are given talking points and provide food for guests. This is the line to take today. The 'Ra' is to be chorus as a melody. The nation has to be dedicated to the spirit of patriotism and so on and so forth.

Such orders come from within the organization as well as from outside, and their orders are proudly carried out.

'Security Clearance' have such anchors. They are given approach to the chambers of power. They are revolve on tanks and ships, through which leaks are planted. This is all in the best interest of the country.

Hawaldar Media critics call this consignment of anchors. The considerable his name, the more biased the work, so no conscious person takes his instructions seriously.

But the five fingers are not equal. In Pakistan, there are anchors and journalists who admitting all the difficulties, do not hesitate to raise the difficult questions of our times. But by bad-luck , they often seem to be limited to small channels.

Friends working are believe that there is less journalism and more clerkship in the news channels. The palm of your hand are 100% in the editorial controls. As the salaries and ranks of the people in the administrative structure expand, so do the editorial powers. The scope for creative work is not only declined but it is discouraged. Technology is changing speedily. In recent years, the determination of young people to listen, read and watch news on mobile phones has increased. They are not only want to hear but also to say something. They want to spread their voice to others, for which they use Facebook and Twitter. Similarly, more than half of the population for example: women seem to be shudder with news channels.

Then who will be spared to watch prime time news shows if it is continuous like this?

If not today, then tomorrow the media industry will have to fix its own ways. The industry needs to reform.Otherwise, the decline of this industry of crores, billions may come prematurely.

Why would people waste their time observing  at the TV when your news channel and your programs are no longer worth watching.

Media Censorship: Saudi and Chinese model also follow pakistan?

Talat Hussain

Most recent, The Federal Executive Council of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Pakistan's oldest national organization of journalists, among other things ,issued a stern statement condemning, increasing censorship in Pakistan.

The PFUJ has called on” freedom of expression” parliament to raise a common voice to protect which it says poses a serious blackmail to state institutions.

The statement lists a number of incidents ranging from physical attacks on journalists to manipulation of the media industry in the form of new TV channels and radio stations where propaganda is carried out under the appearance of journalism.

As a journalists, the statement warned of the death of journalists and media owners have to impose censorship on themselves.

The media in Pakistan is a serious crime against the freedom in each and every way.The social and political freedom gained through so many difficulties there is a deep sorrow in it now reached the edge of the slope.
But what happened after that?

چپ کا موسم :
A season of unhappiness:

This statement sounded like a moisture-less. Mostnewspapers Tv channels ignored it. Even those who mentioned it in such a way as if it was an insignificant piece of news. Of the hundreds of TV talk shows aired each night, only three bothered to talk about it. But his style was also superficial and apologetic.

The parliament acted as if the statement had never been issued and remained in its day-to-day fog. The statement did not go viral, and the courage with which it came was dissolved in the air.

This shows that how complicated and its energetic censorship organisationsystem works in Pakistan. The PFUJ has been trying to hold protests with the National Press Club and hold meetings with media owners and politicians, but at the same time the PFUJ has been talking about the ongoing strict censorship in the country. The statement is nowhere to be seen. It did not become part of the national debate.

How no systematically media freedom is being curtailed in this country if you take a closer look, this may seem strange but it is not difficult to understand.

A very poetical way this system is set out. There is a freedom of utterance, provided that a great deal with the opinion remains general and does not go into specific details. For example, whether the last election was free or equiped and that is not a problem to talk about. The whole night can be spend debating the ideas of electoral politics and no one will lay a hand on your mouth. No word or sentence will be cut or deleted.

But the moment you come across facts, data, examples, proofs, names, etc., the process of sorting Kant will begin. You are not allowed to talk about any of these. In the light of facts, you are not allowed to speak. You cannot comment on your observations. The whole system was working together to achieve a certain result to achieve and you are not allowed how to infer.

You avoid from detailsas long as your opinion is free. Your reality are moderated. Your general inspection is conclusive. You have drawn conclusion and disputes for watch out. This fact of overbearing and systematic discovered  transcends all bounds, and ontherecord events, affirmation, documentary facts become no-go areas.
