Although no Pakistani newspaper and news channel gets drained of praising countless sacrifices of
Armed and paramilitary organisations in the war on terror. Not every channel and Newspaperstands with the pre-planned and predestined
state position of India, Kashmir and Afghanistan. No Urdu channel or newspapergives coverage to Pashtun Protection Movement
gatherings or Manzoor Pashtun statements because sensitive or Raw state agencies believe that PTMK's news
coverage is not in the wider national interest.
However, publicity of condemnation is in the national interest. The national media also desists from covering
the occasional protest camps of the families of the missing.. Because this topic is also on the sensitive
list. Concerns from a number of national
and international observers and political parties about what was heard before,
during and after the July general election were also avoided by the media's
critical coverage of the debate. Because
the stains are good and that's how the journey of democracy should continue. The electronic and print media nor think
differently from the state line in the context of Pak-China relations and the CPEC,
neither do they cover the critical reporting of the Western media on China's
internal political and national issues and contradictions. Except Afghanistan and Bangladesh, the containing
explanation of the media and the state is more or less the similitude for other
brotherly Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia. There is no textbook in any private or public
educational institution or madrassa in Pakistan that embolden and persuade constructive critical
discussions , questions on the comparison of religions, ideology of Pakistan,
history, basic state institutions and parliament etc. and consequently logic
and discussing meticulously. All
domestic and non domestic NGOs suspected and surmised of being directly or
indirectlybane and detrimental to national and state health have either been
bedridden and incapacitated or are allowed to operate under new stringent regulations. ۔ The governing body of the Al-Hamra Arts Council, located at the capital
of largest province Punjab, has been
disbanded for failing to curb the apparent laxity under the travesty guise of
stage dramas and the Provincial Information Minister issued an order that in fourth
coming future he would personally approve the reading of scripts of dramas so
that the national cultural values could be properly protected. Some speakers at the Al-Hamra Arts Council's
Faiz Mela, which took place three weeks ago, were barred from attending because
they feared they would mislead the younger generation. The media also refrained from making this
news a storm in a tea cup.. The attitude
of the media towards the Imran khan’s government as compared to the Zardari’s and
Nawaz Sharif’s governments in the last
ten years has been discussed by the media so far. Where can it go and what are the possible
economic and editorial contingencies of
such spontaneity for the media itself?
As for social media, since the head of the army's communications
department a few months ago exposed the names of journalists and bloggers who
were active in cyberspace against the state narrative by making maps and graphs
on the cyber front. There may be a
significant shortage of posts opposing government and state measures. At the same time, the FIA's cybercrime wing
and patriotic mob traitors are satisfactorily cracking down on such posts and
tweets. After all, three days ago, Major
General Asif Ghafoor had to say in a detailed media briefingthat the media, as
the fourth pillar of the state, affects the hearts and minds of the youth more
than any other institution. If the same
media shows the positive aspects and development of Pakistan internally and
externally in the next six months, then fourth coming days we’d see where Pakistan is coming from. This means that the announced and unheralded arrangements
made in the last one year to show a positive image also seem inadequate. After that, the only way is to create a
central newsroom for all newspapers and channels and to make it mandatory to
prepare and publish the same newsletter and newspaper pages. Brother North Korean experts may also be
called in to train journalists, anchors, editors and owners on how the state
and media can successfully create a harmonious melody with a single flute and
play a collective instrument. Each medium could be be controlled by force or money.
A recent
study published under the name of Media and Media Ownership Monitor has
identified Pakistan as a dangerous country in terms of media pluralism. According to the study, media houses that
cover more than 50% of the audience in three out of four mediums of Pakistani
media are limited to four people in each of the three mediums. The first four media houses in a medium
(radio) cover 35% of the viewers. According to the study, television channels
include Geo, ARY, PTV and Sama TV, while newspapers include Jang, Express,
Nawa-e-Waqt and News and online mediums
include Dawn.com, Jang Group, Express Group and DailyPakistan, which cover more
than 50% of the viewers. The first four radio channels in the radio category
cover 35% of the audience, including FM.
100 Pakistan, Radio Awaaz, FM Mast 103 and fourthly FM 101 and Radio
Pakistan. More than 50 per cent of the
country's audience is covered by only four major media outlets, and if the
owners of these four outlets are pressured or coerced, most of the population
can be controlled, the report said. It
has been said that the media in Pakistan needs ownership rights on a broad
basis to diversify the news sources. Interestingly in this study, the Pakistani
people themselves have no information about the owners of most of the media
houses. The study also found that some
of these media owners have shared all their details with governments abroad,
but in Pakistan they have not shared any information about their sources of income
and shares. On the occasion, senior
journalist Mazhar Abbas said that despite being a powerful medium, Pakistani
media is still weak. What is the
systematic effort to control the media in Pakistan, why is it, when is it,
where is it and how is it? This is the
basis of journalism and truth. It takes courage, strength and knowledge to ask
questions. The question requires
language, facts and words.
The head of the question, the expression of the
thought, the style of conversation and the basis of knowledge The voices of SaloniSaloni were heard and the
power of the question was known to Madinat-ul-Alam. The questioner was of
special importance in every gathering.
The question is raised when you know and want to know more and also when
you know the answer. In a society where
questions are not allowed to be asked, the answers are lost and the
justifications are lost. Why are we
questioning? That is my question. Today, the media industry is on the
decline Has been Every day there are reports of workers being
fired from TV channels, so we can only ask when this happened. Why did it happen And how did it happen? Today, the question is - is the first episode
of this attack on the famous Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir? The question is why Hamid Mir was attacked in
2014? And who did? Why was the report not published? At the same time, the Bol channel was
launched on a large scale, many journalists including me became part of it, a
report was published in a reputed international newspaper about the sources of
illicit income of this channel, the channel was stopped, many TV workers Was financially murdered. This channel went on air after some time but
the manner in which it happened made it clear who wanted what, the question is
why all this happened with Bol and at whose request? Why did it close? And at whose request was it done on air? The question is whether the current crisis of
newspapers and channels is artificial or real.
The question is also who made a systematic program to stop the payments
of TV channels and bring them to such a level that the owners seem ready to
accept almost every condition? The
crisis belongs to which institution? And
who is taking advantage of this flowing Ganga and arranging the economic
assassination of journalists? And the
question is, who divided the journalists' organizations? And who benefits from it? The question is also why the journalists' organizations
are raising their voices in protest but why they have not been effective? And the question is who is responsible for
this economic murder? We journalists who
were accustomed to censorship first, then self-censorship and now complete
silence? Or the powers that be in this
country just want to talk so that a Chinese, Saudi model can be formed, no one
can speak, no one can ask a question and no one can find an answer?
