In 1896 two significant newspapers”
Pirbhaat” and “Jot” appeared, “ Pirbhat”
was weekly newspaper which was published under supervision of Tarachand Gajraa
and Mr. Balchand from Shikarpur.. In this
newspaper expect regional news, including National level news and Indian
national congress updates and announcements were published. Whereas “Jot” newspaper
whose issue was of every after fifteen
days which was under supervision of famous writer Parmanand Mevaram newspaper
were supposed to be published on every first and last Wednesday of the the
month. Which continued till 1942. After
that some selective article pieces were published in book format in which
“Gull-Phull and “Dil-Bahar”are included.
After the death of Parmanand Mevaram in 1938. Father Kotwani become the editor. In 1946 he celebrated silver jubilee of “Jot”
newspaper soon after that it stoped.

literature)Shaikh Mohammd Suleman issued a newspaper. “Al-Haq” from Sukker in which Muslims workers

from Khaerpur. This newspaper was first
issued from Sukker In 1901, later it was shifted to Hyderabad but in 1907 shifted back to Sukker.” Al-Haq”
newspaper was bi-lingual newspaper, Sindhi and English,English portion was controlled by barrister Ali Mohamad.

Rasheedi wrote in his book “ Hu Dothi, Hu Deenh” that “ In Sindh first Muslims National
newspaper was “Al-Haq” of Shaikh Muhammad Suleman which first published from
Hyderabad in English and then from Sukker in Sindhi.
All known journalist editor of that newspaper Sir Ali Muhammad Dehlvi was
one of them.
Raeis Shams udin “Bulbul” remained
editor of Sindhi portion of this newspaper.

In 1901, Monthly magazine named
“Sanatan Dharam Parcharak Putar” published by Sanatan Dharam Saba from Karachi,
whose first editor was Maharj Sobhraj Sharma, after his death, MaharajTejuraam
Sharma become the editor of Magazine and he Managed responsibility till 1947. This
Magazine contained literary content. In 1092 Education department of Sindh

training college for man issued sterling Magazine named “Akhbar Taleem”

with the support of Sindh Madarsa “RisalaMadarsa” published. Molvi Allah bux “Abujo”
and Molvi Abdul Raheem both were the editors. Magazine contained prose and
poetry together which served Sindhi language and literature. In 1904 in poetry
and journalism MohammdHashim “ Mukhlis” cashed his name soon published “Tuhfa-
e Ahbab” as Monthly magazine. In 1905 Mohamad Ismael Sarhandiissued “Islaah” as Monthly
Magazine from Karachi. And in 1909
MohamadHashim “Mukhlis” published

In 1905 Totaram Balanipublished a
weekly newspaper "Maata", this newspaper could be considered as the
first political newspaper of sindh, that got attention because of it's
contradictory writings. The year 1908 has got priority because in it the first
daily Sindhi newspaper came, whose name was "Sindhi Wasi" it's editor
was Kanwal Singh. In 1929 Hasaram Pamnani became the editor and owner of
newspaper. In 1909 a monthly journal as "Zameendar Gazette" got
published whose editor was Hakeem Dharam Singh Dehalsingh. This journal was the
protection of benefits of landlords and businessmen. This journal was based on
32 pages. In 1910 Deewan Dekchand Goklani published a newspaper regarding trading
"Wapari Samachar” from Shikarpur, which had essays about trading. In 1911
MaharajLokram published a newspaper "Sindh Bhaskar" to spread
national affairs. In 1912 Khosheram Motomal Heranandani published monthly
"Nawelas newspaper" from Hyderabad, whose purpose was to develop
novels. In it novels based on 40 pages or published advertisement of current
novel. This newspaper produced a great number of readers and this included so
many novels to sindh language after publishing. Meanwhile Mister Kundan Mal Dechand Shodasani
published a monthly magazine "Anand" in 1913 from Hyderabad. The

published from Mirpurkhas "Mirpurkhas Gazette" whose owner and
editor was GardiniThal Singh. This newspaper was managed by Mohammed Hashim
Mukhlis from 1921 to 1923, this newspaper got published till 1947. In 1915
Hakeem Dhanraj Mal published a monthly magazine "Sikh JoSinho" from
Shikarpur . In 1916 a weekly Sindhi newspaper was published as
"Sindhu" from Hyderabad, which got success and came weekly. It got
published from karachi from 1934. It's editor was Maharaj Lokaram who published
"Sindh Bhaskar" newspaper and was sent to jail in 1911. That same
newspaper before one year of Pakistan means in 1946 became "Hindustan"
from "Hindu" that gets published till today from Bombay. The famous
journalist Hafiz Kher Mohammed Ohdi writes about it that "Hindu"
seems a government translation of Sindh provisional Congress committee but was also based on sect devision in Sindh. The

"Kesri" was published from Hyderabad, whose editor was Suwami Govind
Anand, who represented the Hindu bigots, avoided the Arabi grammar, this
newspaper used to come twice a week and then came daily. In 1916 another weekly
newspaper "Alamin" from Hyderabad got published by Ghulam Mohammed
Khan Burgri. The whole newspaper was in Sindh but two pages were written in
English, whose purpose was promptly to make that language common to current

Raees Ghulam Mohammed Burgri, was the leader of liberal and national ideas.

magazine named as "Sansar Chakar". Magazine got published on every 15
of month. The best writer of magazine was given the prize. Sindhi Hindu people
of Burma, China, Salon, Japan, America, Africa and Europe used to read this
magazine too, who used to live abroad for business. In 1917 Bhurgri cooperated
and funded to publish another newspaper "Hinduwasi" to create
political awareness in people. It was actually published by Jeethmal Parsaram Gulrajani,
which used to come daily in the beginning, but later came weekly. In these both
newspapers (Alameen and Hinduwasi) the home role movement and freedom to be
achieved by the unity of Hindu Muslim
and effective preaching of one's ideology and the one's point was effectively
addressed
In 1917, priest S Totaram
published a newspaper as "Sindh Samachar" which was the translator of
congress party. In November 1917 by Sindh Shewak Sabha a monthly newspaper was
published as" Nari Dharam" to represent the women. The same year
another magazine got published "Sokhri" whose publisher was Mister
G.S Nandwani. In magazine, it was so much written about sufism. In 1918 a Sindhi
newspaper from Shikarpur "Sooraj" got published. It's editor was Baldio
Tarachand Gajra, it used to come in evening and was translator of Indian congress, it was very much accepted
by people and published till the end of
1947. The same year Maulana deen Mohammed Wafai , published a monthly magazine
"Al Kashaf" from Thala Shareef, which was about preaching. At that
time two magazines "Prem Parchark" and "Prem Parkash" got
published whose editors were BhojrajWadhani and Garnakh Singh who were from Hyderabad. The same year a
monthly magazine was published as" Prem Patar" from Hyderabad in the commemoration
of Maharaj Suwami Hemraj Chadakashi, magazine was based on 12-13 pages and it it
both material of prose and poem were written, it's most part was based on
Sufism and wisdom, the same year a monthly religious magazine "Sikh Tarekit" from Hyderabad by Sikh young man
association". Through this the
literature of Sikh religion was translated in Sindhi language. From Karachi
another magazine got published the same year in 1926. The respected secretary
of society was Lalchand K.R. This magazine gave a lot of Sikh literature to
Sindhi language. The same year Professor Hasaram Pamnani published a monthly
magazine "Sat Singh Vilas" from Rohri. This magazine was
published from 1919 as "Dharam
Darshan", so many riddles and essays regarding religious teaching
published. Different religious student's translations were published. Sindh Abroz from
Karachi suggested that this magazine can he divided into hundred parts. The
same year in August a weekly war newspaper in Sindhi language was published by
government, whose purpose was to make people aware of wars.
