Shaikh Ali
Mohammad
Shaikh Ali Mohammad was born on 15 February 1958.He was the son of Shaikh
Mohammad khan, who was the land of the Shaikh Hafiz Mari Mangar. Shaikh Ali Mohammad
got his early education from village &he further got his education from
Noor Mohammad high school Hyderabad .He did intermediate from City College
Hyderabad. He did LLB from Jinnah Law College Hyderabad. For some time he
worked in Pakistan Post & later he turned towards journalism. He started
his journalism from Hilal e Pakistan .He worked as a news editor for Hilal e Pakistan.
Abdul Shakoor Munshi owned Hilal e Pakistan newspaper. Later he became editor
of Carvan newspaper whose owner was Haji Najumuddin Surewal whose office was
located in Shahi Bazaar. Shaikh Ali Mohammad worked bravely under supervision
of famous journalist Khair Mohammad Nizamani. When Hilal Pakistan was transform
to Karachi then Shaikh Ali Mohammad started work to launch his own newspaper. On
23 March 1974, he started Daily Aftab newspaper whose office was located in Gol
BuildingHyderabad. He was elected as a member in Majlis e Shora in 1977. In
1980, he became Member of Senate. He was one of founding members of Press Club Hyderabad.
Shaikh Ali Mohammad died on 21 January 1991. He isburied near his school in his
village. After his death, his son ran Daily Aftab but after some time it was
closed
Syed Sarkar Ali Shah Zakir
Syed Zakir Ali Shah born on 1 January 1928 in the village Bukhara Berari
District Ghotki. He started his basic education from Mirpur Mathelo. Later, he
did intermediate from Nawabshah & then did Bachelors in Arts from Sindh
Muslim College Karachi. He started his political career at very young age. He was
also activated in Khasksar Tehreek. He visited many cities of Indian Subcontinent.
He also spent some time to activate “Muslim League Sindh “. He started his
journalism career in 1946 as sub editor for Al Wahid Newspaper. In 1950, he
also worked for Sindhi Lok Adab & Sindhi Dictionary along with Dr. Nabi Bux
Khan Baloch. He started a magazine“Awam Raaye “. He also worked to promote
Sindhi lok Adab.
Sardar Ali Shah became sub editor of Carvan Newspaper in 1952. In 1957,
he became editor of Mehran newspaper. Until the last breath of hislife, he
worked for it. He wrote many articles & columns in different newspapers. His
columns were so famous to the government officials. He was given so many titles
for his extraordinary writings. He also spent so much time in prison. During
60s when socialist movement was going on, Syed Sardar shah stood firmly against
them & wrote a number of articles against them. He also wrote against GM Syed's
book " Jiyen Ditho Ahey Moon
".
He was also a poet & he wrote four books i.e. 1. Rat Jaa Ghorha, 2.
Sindhi Zuban ji Hesiyat ain Mustaqbil, 3. Diyar re Yar mai Dum Dum Guzaryam. 4
. Wardaat e Ishq .
Aslam Akbar Qazi
Qazi Aslam is Chief Editor of Kawish
Newspaper nowadays.
Aslam Akbar Qazi along with his two brothers Ali Qazi & Mohammad
Ayub Qazi are the owners of Kawish Group along with Daily Sham, first Sindhi TV
channel KTN & Entertainment channel Kashish. His brother Ali Qazi is also a
good analyst &columnist. Aslam Akbar Qazi has visited many foreign countries.
He is currently General Secretary of all Pakistan newspaper society. He
also held the position of member of executive committee of APNS. He also held
the position of Vice chairman PBCA.
Thebo Laiq Sindhi
He also
worked as sub editor in Daily Ibrat, Mehran, Sindh News, Daily Sindh,Kawish,&
daily Koshish newspaper. He also became sub editor of “Akbar Taleem “magazine. Laiq
Sindh was also social worker. His services are well known for social causes. He
was also a senior member of Hyderabad Press Club. When he was retired as a
teacher in 1986 , he purchased books from half of his pension amount & kept
them in his village library . He also receive award from Sindh Akbar
Hayat Baloch
Later he did graduation from Sachal
Arts College Hyderabad in 1967. He worked as proofreader for daily Ibrat&
later became sub editor till 1970 & became news editor till 1990.
Hayat Baloch became General Secretary of Hyderabad
press club for three times. He also became member of governing body of
Hyderabad press club. Hayat Baloch was activist during Zia 's Marshal
law & was activated in " Jail Bharyo " Tehreek against sanctions
upon journalism . From 2006 he is editor of Daily Ibrat Karachi edition.
