Seek truth and report;
In very first point I understand that whenever journalist make news story or feature he must be accurate from his/her thoughts and actual figure of the story whatever journalist is writing it will be in public sooner or later with his name, he/she must be responsible for what he is writing.
Journalist must understand the motive of the source, who is disclosing or sharing information with the reporter. Journalist must have courage to make authorities accountable for public affairs
Minimizing harm
In this point it explains that all human being are respectable and they all need basic human rights when the reporter is reporting something he must think that story has two aspects positive and negative¸ news can be in favor or in against of anyone, he the reporter must try to minimize the harm because everyone has self respect he should not attack personally to anyone, he has to take care of victims,
Act independently
In this point it explains that journalist must act freely, it is his primary responsibility that he must not work under anyone’s favor, he also avoid political favors like gifts, trips which questions his transparency, he must not lose his impartiality, many corporation may interrupt in journalism erase the line of news and advertise, journalist must be aware of airing commodity or product as news which can be otherwise advertisements
Be accountable and transparent

According to your lectures, your all vides are understandable but I have selected one of them is “TRANSLATION” I would like to summarize this topic in my own words .
Translation is a source to convey the message or information in other language, it is the way which is conducted in different places of the world and different departments, there are swarm thousands of books has been written and by illustrious authors, they write in their native language how an other person can read that book so the translation is the way which translate the book in different languages in order to understand the book, similarly this is also policy of countries to keep translator with themselves to translate their dialogues when they go for the foreign visits. Multinational companies offer these kind of people who has capability to translate the language, there are some logic in translation sometime translators does not translate the word to word because there will no proper meaning while translating this way, so sometime they have to translate the main points of the paragraph in order to convey the information. Even sometime you have to put the same words in translation, we can take the words from other languages during translation, translation has two way one in writing form other is speaking.
Translation is also great way to communicate with each other, in Pakistan we have many languages like, URDU , SINDHI, PUNJABI , SIRAIKI, BALOCHI, and English is our official language, having command over languages is a huge fun because if you have ability to translate the language into other language, you will be paid from concerned departments.

In first video we have been taught about “Difference between Newspaper and Magazine” by Suhail Sangi. First of All, He says Newspaper is regulated on daily basis and Newspaper gives us information about current issues and incidents. The style of the newspaper is formal and with low number of picture but it gives much information. Magazine is kind of investigative and fun reading, many people are found of reading magazine because of its colorful and beautiful nature. Those who read it never become bore of it because of different kind of pictures and all. The magazine are published either weekly or monthly according to its nature, the video is very informative it tells that a magazine can be based on persons opinion but not on facts and figures. Main focus of both of them is to give information but their layout their expression is different, basically newspaper only conations current information and short articles but in magazines there is variety of topics magazines contain current as well as old information and it may contain long articles. Newspaper has simple layout and design and Magazines have complex design especially the one that catches reader’s eye. There were lots of things and differences in video lecture and I’ve only mentions some of them.

In second video we have been taught about “Internship and why it is important”. He says whenever you will go for a job or an interview of job firstly they will ask about your qualification and studies but more important is they will ask about your experience you work, there are four thing that we can achieve through internship, first thing is that is he working in an organization second thing is he may do it for free of for earning money but more important is that he is doing it for experience, third thing is that you get a chance to work to be experienced and the last thing is in most of professional fields subjects internship is considered as requirement of degree, a part of degree. Further he says you can do internship during your studies and it can help very much in your studies because you gain a practical experience, internship is considered of six weeks and you also get certificate. It is important for work force, it is important for your job for example if two people come to you for job one is having good academic scores and other is having slightly less scores than him but he have good experience of work so there are 90% chances that you will give job to the one that is having experience.

Difference between Newspaper and Magazine? that’saninteresting question today. I had watched two videos now I write the review on difference between Newspaper and Magazine. I understand difference between Newspaper and Magazine firstly I define Newspaper importance role of newspaper. basically newspaper trend to reflect current recent eventsbased upon current news information newspaper contain short article content newspaper ongoing issue in the world with short article newspaper have a simple design and simple layout newspaper have formal way newspaper have current issue of developments whole the world. Newspaper readers audience are general have low picture quality like size styl.newspaper use the formal language. The frist step in an accuaracy cheak.the translator systematically works through the translation,phrase-by-phrase or sentence-by-sentence,comparing it with the original text.

What is headline?
Headline is a collection of words that give the meaning and essence of the content to catch the attention of the readers. It is at the top of the content having distinct writing style and font size.
What are the functions of headlines?
1) First and foremost, function of the headline is to give the meaning, essence and reflecting the genre of content.
2) To grab the attention of readers.
3) To portray the importance of the news through the way of writing.
4) It helps to draw the layout of the newspaper.
Structure of Headline
The structure of the headline can be divided into two parts i.e. primary and secondary part.
Primary part
The part of a headline that helps to grab the attention, provides most important facts and figures and gives the essence of the content. Usually it has bigger font size then the secondary part.
Secondary part
The secondary part of headline supports the primary part and give the additional information of the news. The functions of the secondary part are to supplement and support the primary part, helps in formatting layout and give additional information of the news. The secondary part of the headline should be written in a way that holds the attention of the reader.
Types of Headlines
There are many types of headline on the basis of layout of newspaper, writing style and designs.
Streamer/ Main Lead
The form of headline that cover complete eight columns of the page in newspaper. It is called banner lead or main lead.
Anchor lead
A news of five or eight columns at the bottom of page is called anchor lead.
Super Lead
According to the layout of newspaper, the super lead is first news. It the most important news after the main lead. It is left to the name plate; it may be comprised of five to three columns.
Hammer, Kicker and Tripod
Hammer is word that hits the mind of the reader as a hammer. It may be consisting of two words, to give the meaning of the headline. Kicker is the collection of the words that are at the top of the main headline. The kicker is written in small font size while the hammer is written in the bigger and the broader size. Tripod is the detailed information of headline that supports the news as a tripod.
News writing
There are several rules for news writing.
Before writing news first you should read the article thoroughly and understand it.
Know your readers for whom you want to write, weather they are students, labor or public.
Understand the tone or the nature of news.
Rules for writing news Headline
In English newspaper headline is written in present tense and active voice is followed, rarely headlines are written in passive voice. While writing headline in English articles (a, the, (conjunction; and)) are avoided instead of its comma is used and proper noun is used instead of pronoun.
In headline 3Ps are most important: precise, provoking and personalized.
Precise: Headline should be short and give complete sense.
Provoking: The news should initiate reader to critically analyze the issue.
Personalized: It means your creativity and your wisdom should be reflected by the news. It does not mean that you should add your point of views in the news.
Also mind the tone of the news while writing headline. If the news is straight writing a straight headline, if it is the news of celebration or of morn you should write it regarding its tone.

Media control is divided into two parts;

In which editor, sub-editor and reporter edit the news with right fact and figures with best of their knowledge.

Media is always in control of authorities either they are private or government, authorities do check the content is published, how they present the content to the viewers. They have technical things to check the content.
The media is in control of 5 companies basically, they focus on the economical interest and what people are interested in; they showcase the things according to the people’s interest and likeness.
Corporate only wants the profits which are gained by the media, media, newspaper, radio, TV, internet they get profit by advertising and if we talk about the media sector it does not do anything against the rules of corporate sector.
And if we see on the other hand the advertisement company does support the media departments, media gets the advertisement from government and it does depend upon the government policies
PR industry wants their product to be recognized thus, they choose anchors who are well-known for this work and in this way PR department does affect the news.
Pressure Group can be called the civilized party where they have to keep themselves alive and in the process it gets all loaded up on media and there is one more pressure group where a report faces difficulties in writing a news against a well-known person. Because of the position and power he might hold.

The video lecture helped me to understand about the difference between newspaper and magazines. Now I can tell you three major differences. One, the shelf life of the newspaper is only a day, but it's almost a month for a magazine. Second, the paper quality is a regular one of the newspaper (depends on the budget of the organization) while most magazines have attractive and glossy pages and covers. Third, a newspaper is for those who have a busier life and wants to stay updated. But magazine readers may be the ones who have a rather relaxed life. But then again, it depends. Many busy people also have the habit of reading a magazine.
And yes, journalists working for a newspaper work faster since it is a regular publication. Magazine journalists have a whole month or a gap in-between to think, research, and write. Magazines hold higher interest level among the audience. Thanks!
