My first visit of Jinnah airport, Karachi.
I was 14 years old, when I visited Jinnah airport
first time. It was the arrival of my grandfather form Hajj. I was so exited
about this journey, because I had never seen airport before in my life. I
always asked to my parents that how an aero plane looked like, while flying and
landing, and it was the time, when I could see flying and landing aero plane.
I and my family went to karachi and it was 2012. The
weather was neither so cold nor so hot, as the weather was changing from Summer
to winter. We all went by a car and we followed a Thatta Road, that is because
we were going to karachi from site area Badin, so taking Thatta road rather
than main Highway was closer to karachi and we could reach there in no time. In
fact Thatta road linked to airport road and we wanted to go airport first, and
then we could think about going to relative’s house. We actually booked two
cars, as there were many members of my family, and one car could not take all
of us. We put necessary luggage and savages for grand father and we headed to
karachi.
We arrived in karachi in the Evening, as soon as we
reached in karachi, we took the road of airport. So we reached to airport in no
time.
I was so exited to see the airport, as I entered in
airport, I saw a clock made up of rock and flowers and that clock also had a
fountain and colourful lightening too, which was honestly so cool to see. Our
cars were stopped at the check point, in order to ensure security. At check
point there were ASF soldiers whose duty was to identify and check people who
were going inside the airport. Once we passed check point, I noticed a huge
ground parked with cars and vans. I also saw airport main building, where Jinnah
airport was written and that building was pretty tall.
We got into a park, which was near by McDonalds
Hotel. It was one hour late of the arrival of my grand father, so we decided to
have meal, as we were craving, because we left home in the afternoon. We had
gone inside the McDonald’s Hotel and found seats according to our comfort. I
and my father had gone to the order counter and we ordered Burgers, finger
chips along with cold drinks. We had our meal and I was especially so exited to
see a McDonald’s hotel for the first time, so I really enjoyed. After having
meal I went outside of McDonald’s with my uncle and sister and we captured some
pictures with a Joker, which was not a real joker, but a statue of a joker, and
that joker looked so real at first glance.
Once we had our meal, it was time to meet with
grandfather, as it was announced, the airline from Saudi Arabia had reached. We
went to passengers side and we met with grandfather. We were so happy to see
grandfather after such long time. We also had sweat talks with grandfather. We
took the luggage and put it into cars.
Before we left, I and my sister requested to visit
some areas of air port, where we saw exiting things like elevator, Electric
stairs and a gate which opens by rotating. At first I was afraid of riding on
Electric stairs, but uncle encouraged me to ride on it, so I did and once I got
on stairs, my fear disappeared. We also went into elevator and we went up by an
elevator to the top roof of airport, where we got surprised to see huge size of
aero plane, which look tiny on the sky. We saw, passengers were taken inside
aero plane through a type of tunnel, which directly connected with anaero
plane.
It was mid night and time was around 12 am, then we
decided to go to our near living relatives, who were my cousins. We left
airport and reached to our relatives.
